Why can't I preview Scaffolding cloud macros in global templates?

Purpose

Users trying to preview Scaffolding macros in Confluence global templates will not be able to see the expected output.

Answer

You can only view the Scaffolding macro changes after you have saved the template and view it in a page which uses the template. This is due to a known limitation in Confluence itself, as noted in this bug report - CONFCLOUD-68409.
