Unable to edit Scaffolding Field Group once its has been saved in a template

Summary

When adding a ScaffoldingField GroupMacro in a template (global or space), if you click on "Edit Template" and attempt to edit the macro, no option to edit will be available.

Cause

This is due to a limitation by Atlassian

Workaround

1. Edit the template

2. Under the Scaffolding Field Group macro, add another macro (same or different one).

3. Now you will see the edit option on both macros
