Summary

The image snaps back to the original size when resizing. This happens when the image is aligned to the left or right side of the Field Group/Paragraph, resizing in the center works as expected.

Cause

Due to limitations with Confluence Cloud's live editor, resizing images to smaller inside the macro when aligning/wrapping to left or right works better with large images

Workaround

Resize the image in the center to your liking then align/wrap the image to the left or right. Save the editor, the size change made will retain. 

The image appears to have snapped back to the original size but in fact the image has been resized correctly.
