Deploying from Salesforce.com Sandbox to Production

Answer:

It is advisable to create new Application Links, Connections, Mappings and Mapping Schemes for different Salesforce.com instances even if you are deploying your sandbox instance to a staging or production environment.

If you want to use the same Application Link, you only need to update the Application Link's Display URL, RPC URL and the Salesforce.com user credential as follows:

  1. Go to Cog Icon > Add-ons.

  2. Under Cloud Connectors in the sidebar, click on Connections.

  3. Click the Application Link name.

  4. Then use Edit to change the Display URL and RPC URL value.

  5. Click Configure Authentication to update Salesforce.com user credentials.

  6. Return to Connections to perform a Testing a Connection.
