Summary

When creating Jira issues from Salesforce, Jira issues are created successfully. But, they don't automatically display the Reference ID Custom field.

Diagnostics Steps

  • In the logs, you'll find the following:

WARN:Could not update issue DON-67. Mapping fields which do not associated with 'Create Screen' will not be updated. Refer to JIRA log for more information.

Cause

  • When launching the wizard the user didn't configure it to automatically associate the field with all screens.

    Therefore, reference ID Field is not added to Create/edit issue screen, Jira issue is created but the connector is not able to locate the custom object reference ID field, as it wasn't configured in the screen.

Resolution

  • Associate the Reference ID custom field to the Create/Edit issue screen.
