Prerequisite

• Autodesk Platform Services or BIM 360 account.

Installing Autodesk for Miro

1. Go to Miro Marketplace and search for “Autodesk for Miro”.

2. Select the app and click Connect.

3. Select the team of your choice from the dropdown menu and click Add.

4. Go to the Miro toolbar and click the Autodesk for Miro icon.

5. Sign in to your Autodesk account.

6. Click Allow to authorize the application.

Importing 3D images from Autodesk to Miro

1. In Miro, click on the Autodesk icon in the toolbar.

2. This will bring you to the Autodesk Forge Viewer, you will see a menu on the left. Click the hamburger menu to view your team’s menu tree.

3. Expand the file tree and select the file you want to import to Miro. Then, click Import.

   

4. The Miro board will import your 3D image. You can now move the image around, rotate it, and more.

5. To import more objects, repeat steps 1 to 3.

Using advanced mode features

Autodesk for Miro has an advanced mode where you can use additional features. Here’s how you can activate the advanced mode:

1. Select an imported object.

2. Click the Autodesk icon on the Miro toolbar to trigger advanced mode.

3. In this mode, you will see an advanced mode toolbar. Here’s what each button of the toolbar can do:

   

   1. Capture a screenshot of the object
      To return to the original file, click the arrow symbol at the top right corner of the object.

   2. Embed a file
      This will create a duplicated iFrame window at a different angle.

   3. Open the file in a new tab
