The connector can assist you as a workplace user to send a comment to Jira directly from Workplace's Jira issue group conversation. 

Sending comments to Jira

  • You can send a comment to Jira by mentioning the bot name regardless of whether you are an existing Jira user. The format will be similar to @Bot-name comment “Message”.
    In the example above:
    User Barbara Walton is mentioning the bot @Rocketeers Jira with the message in quotes.

  • The add-on user in Jira will be the one that is adding the comment in Jira.

  • The comment will have a prefix to mention who added the message and the author of the message:

Barbara Walton pushed this comment from Workplace: “Agreed with Rodrigo”
