Configuring issue and project level permission
Setting issue security level permission
Follow this guide if you have configured an issue security scheme for your JSM project.
To avoid any issues where internal comments are not being added to the issues due to a lack of permissions, it’s recommended to add Surveys for JSM in the issue security level to guarantee the expected behavior.
In Jira, click Settings (⚙ gear icon) > Issues.
In the left sidebar, under Issue Attributes, select Issue security schemes.
Click the scheme name or the Security Levels link in the Actions column.
Choose the appropriate security level and click the Add link in the Actions column.
Select the Single user radio button. Enter “Surveys for JSM”, then click the Add button.
Setting project permission
In Jira, click Projects > select your JSM project.
In the left sidebar, click Project settings > Permissions.
Click Actions > Edit permissions.
Scroll to Add Comments permission.
If you have neither “atlassian-addons-project-access” nor “Surveys for JSM”. Ensure that either one is added.
You can add “atlassian-addons-project-access” as a project role or “Surveys for JSM” as a single user.
