To kickstart your Security and Encryption for Confluence experience, ensuring the applications' configuration is prepared correctly is vital. You can print this checklist to take note of the information as you go through the installation of the application.

Check

1. Installing the application and applying license

  •
Installation and Licensing

The Security and Encryption for Confluence installation is done within your Confluence instance. There are two types of licensing that you can acquire and apply:

  • Generating the license from My Atlassian and installing Atlassian Licensing on the Manage apps page.
  • Purchasing the license from ServiceRocket Apps and installing ServiceRocket Licensing in the Security and Encryption for Confluence Configuration.

The license application activates your installation of Security and Encryption for Confluence

Check2. Using the Secure macro with SSO or custom authentication (optional)
  •
Using the Secure macro with SSO or custom authentication

By default, your Confluence instance password will be used to decrypt the Security and Encryption for Confluence macros. You can alternatively use a Single sign-on solution (SSO) or a custom authentication method to decrypt the macro.
