Will the Connector Work if JIRA is Secured Behind a Firewall?

Standard Functionality
The connector should work as long as the following conditions are met:
JIRA is able to contact Salesforce.com, typically, as long as your JIRA instance is able to access the internet, then it should be able to communicate with Salesforce.com (the plugin uses SOAP to contact Salesforce.com)
The Salesforce.com user whom will be using the various Salesforce.com UI elements must able to access both Salesforce.com and JIRA at the same time, if the user can only access Salesforce.com but not JIRA, then the following items will not work:

If you are planning to use a trigger in Salesforce.com to automate the push of updates from Salesforce.com to JIRA, then you must also make sure that Salesforce.com is able to access JIRA directly.
