The latest version of the Connector now supports Lighting links so you should no longer see this error, and you no longer need to use the workaround listed below.

You may see the following error message when pasting an Object's URL in the Object macro:

"This field does not match the required format"

Environment

  • Confluence Cloud

  • Salesforce

Diagnostics Steps

  • Not applicable.

Cause

This message appears because Connector for Salesforce and Confluence Cloud currently does not support lightning experience URLs.

Workaround

You can temporarily switch to the Classic view in Salesforce just to get the Object's URL and then switch back to the Lightning experience. Now the Object macro URL will work as expected:
